Dina FisherVP Benefits & Risk Management
Dina's passion and high-energy are a perfect fit to oversee our varied HR functions from recruiting, policy creation, benefit management and compliance.
Her hospitality focus began in high school while serving as a reservationist for Thousand Trails in Bellevue, WA. In Steamboat, Dina dedicated a 9-year tenure to Big Country Management, working thru promotions from reservations agent, guest services manager to HOA accountant. Here she galvanized two critical working relationships that presently endure: former Big Country employee's Anita Harcourt and Tom Simmins, who are now both members of our Executive Team. Her front-line hospitality experience allows Dina to better understand our operational demands and requirements, and build needed internal collaboration.
Dina took a hospitality hiatis for 10 years while she worked in the consulting sector for a fortune 500 engineering company, MWH Global, Inc. There she gained unique experience as project accountant, World Bank Billing Specialist, and Business Analyst for the Mining & Natural Resources Division. Her experiences in both hospitality and consulting add unique depth to our organization.
Dina holds a Degree in Accounting, and Certificates in both Employment Law & Business Communications. She is presently pursuing a Masters Certificate in Professional Human Resource Management with Villanova University. We wish her luck on her exam in December!
When Dina's not working at Resort Group, she is enjoying her most important job: being a mom to three active kids. Being involved as a mother is Dina's passion, she volunteers for Boy Scouts of America, participates in Girl Scouts, serves as President of the Yampa Valley Celtic Society, pitches in with the High School Ski Team, and assists in teaching 5 & 6 year olds Irish Dance when the need arises. Not to mention the not-very-fun stuff of homework, laundry and cooking.
Dina's tenacity and energy she brings to work is a reflection on who she is and what she loves to do: Ski Bumps, Play Ice Hockey, Snowmobile, and Irish Dance. When not in high-impact mode, Dina enjoys books and growing flowers.
Born in L.A. and raised outside Seattle, Dina always loved the outdoors. She sought out the lifestyle and adventure of living in the Rocky Mountains and has never looked back. After 25 years in Steamboat, and 20 years married to a local boy, Dina and her husband, Tim, continue to write this fairy tale...

Larry MashawVP Sales & Marketing
From the moment Larry arrived in Ski Town USA in 1984 he knew he had found the place to call home. Because Larry grew up moving every three years as the only son of an Air Force Officer, the desire to grow roots was manifest. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Tourism from California State University, Chico he was attracted to Steamboat Springs by his interest in ski area development and the proposed (though ill-fated) Lake Catamount Ski Area. Larry's career in property management began that first year as a front desk agent and night auditor allowing him to pursue his passion for powder skiing. That love of skiing and the pride in his adopted home lead naturally to a desire to sell and service Steamboat ski vacations. After two years of leading Mountain Resorts' guest service operations Larry created the Groups Sales Manager position and travelled the country to attract clients and create strong bonds with travel agents and tour operators. Having successfully grown the group business segment Larry next accepted the responsibility of all sales and marketing efforts as Director before being promoted to Vice President in 2002. Larry was promoted again in 2004 to his current position of Vice President of Marketing for Mountain Resorts' parent company Resort Group. Larry is currently a member of the Executive Board of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association and has served as Chairman of the Steamboat Springs Lodging Association for the past five years. When not dreaming of skiing Larry is an avid long distance road cyclist and aspiring chef.
Jason Edinburg Director of Internet Marketing
Jason received a degree in Communications from Boston University in 1991 before moving to Steamboat Springs in pursuit of bottomless powder skiing. His first jobs in Ski Town USA were portrait photographer at the Steamboat Ski Area and graphic designer/production artist at the Steamboat Pilot & Today newspaper. It was at the newspaper that Jason was introduced to the internet, and in 1996 developed the very first website for the Steamboat Pilot & Today. In 1998 Jason left the Pilot to pursue an independent career in web design and development. After several years building and managing websites for Steamboat's most prominent real estate, lodging, recreation, and manufacturing companies, Jason was offered a position on the Mountain Resorts marketing team as Internet Marketing Manager. As Resort Group grew Jason was invited to manage the internet marketing efforts of all Resort Group companies as Director of Internet Marketing.
Jason's passion as a user experience designer, web developer, and photographer are a perfect fit for overseeing the internet marketing for Resort Group. He works closely with Larry Mashaw, VP of Marketing, to create marketing campaigns that drive traffic to Resort Group websites and ultimately close sales. In only a few years the proprietary online booking engine Jason developed has become the most profitable sales channel for Resort Group vacation rentals. Jason has built additional web based tools for Resort Group, such as a lead manager and quote tool that allows sales associates to generate quotes and respond to leads with real time availability and rates, and an association management solution that gives each homeowners association their own website and facilitates easy communication between owners and property managers.
Jason considers himself lucky to have a career that involves his passions and looks forward to new challenges every day.
Beyond the office rigors of deadlines, design, and web code, Jason can be found carving fresh tracks through Steamboat's legendary Champagne Powder, cruising single track, or stalking trout in the rivers and lakes of Routt County. Jason feels that creativity needs fuel and he finds that fuel in the abundance of outdoor adventure available in the Colorado Rockies.
Jason met his wife, Ashley, while waiting tables at one of Steamboat's renowned eateries, Riggios Fine Italian Dining, in 1997. After sharing countless days of powder skiing they were married in a small ceremony in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 2001. Ashley and her mother, Melinda, own and operate the Embellishments, the epicenter of shopping in downtown Steamboat Springs.
Ashley and Jason have one daughter, Paloma, who is absorbing the same passion for the mountains shared by her parents. They love to spend time together on the slopes of the Steamboat ski area, playing in the river, and biking or hiking the miles of trails outside their door.
Dan Dean Director of Budgets and Cash Flow
Dan has been a Steamboat Springs resident since 1986, working in the hospitality industry the entire time. Dan started his resort career at Timber Run condominiums as Assistant Plant Manager. He was promoted to Front Office Manager of the property in 1988, and then became General Manager of the Village at Steamboat in 1990. Dan managed this resort property for ten (10) years or until December of 2000, when he was recruited by Mr. Andy Van Baak, owner of Resort Group, to become Vice President of the company. In 2005, Dan was promoted to President of the organization, and then ultimately became Chief Executive Officer in December of 2010, simultaneous with Andy's retirement.
Dan and his wife Tonya have one (1) son, Decker, who is an active member of USA Nordic Sports National Ski Jumping Team. Dan is an elected member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Board of Directors and Chairman of the Rocky Mountain Division Special Jumping / Nordic Combined Discipline Committee. He is vested in Steamboat Springs not only professionally, but also personally.
Having lived and worked in the hospitality industry in Steamboat Springs for over thirty (30) years, Dan has witnessed first-hand the evolution of our resort community. He possesses a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in every aspect of property management, including homeowner's association management, marketing and sales of nightly rental programs and hotel operations. His proven management style is to assemble the best possible group of professionals, and to encourage adaptability, creativity and autonomy while offering his unique perspective.
When Dan's not hard at work, he is often spotted dropping a knee on Mount Werner, waist deep in the Yampa River stalking trout or pedaling one of the bikes from his quiver. "Steamboat Springs is paradise for an outdoor enthusiast such as me; there is never a day, rain, snow or shine, when there isn't an adventure waiting."
Another of Dan's favorite past times is watching Steamboat's youth honing their snow sport skills at Howelsen Hill, particularly those brave enough to take on the ski jumps. His son Decker is a USA Nordic Sports Ski Jumping athlete and 2022 Olympian, who continues to compete on the World Cup tour. Dan believes in Steamboat's tight knit, family oriented community, illustrated by his volunteer participation on the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Board of Directors and Rocky Mountain Division Special Jumping / Nordic Combined Discipline Committee.
"After college, I dreamed of living and working in a resort community, discovering that perfect balance between family, career and recreation; don't wake me up!"
